Plumbing repairs and installs in Airdrie

The back of our card says various plumbing jobs, and that is honestly the best description of it. Taps, toilets, leaks, water lines, drains, shut off valves, and the small things that turn into big things when they are left.

What we do

  • Leaks. Under sinks, behind toilets, at the tank, and the ones you can hear but cannot find.
  • Taps, toilets and fixtures. Repairs and replacements, kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Water lines and shut off valves. Including the valve that has not turned in ten years, which you normally discover at the worst possible moment.
  • Drains. Slow, blocked, or backing up.
  • Outdoor taps and hose bibs. The wrong one for this climate is a frozen line waiting to happen.

Call us when

Something is dripping, running or pooling
A drain is slow or has stopped altogether
A tap or a toilet has been annoying you for months
The shut off valve will not turn
You have an outdoor tap that froze last winter
You are renovating and want the rough in done properly

The two minute job that saves a flood

Find your main shut off valve now, before you need it, and make sure it turns. It is usually in the mechanical room near where the water comes into the house. A valve that has not been moved in a decade often will not move at all, and the moment you find that out is normally the moment water is coming through a ceiling.

While you are down there, look at the flexible hoses feeding the toilets and the washing machine. They have a lifespan, they fail without warning, and they are cheap. That is not a sales pitch, it is the single most common cause of a wrecked floor and a very bad afternoon.

Questions we get asked

Do you do small jobs?
Yes. A good part of the week is small jobs. You do not need to save them up, though if you already have a list it is sensible to do them in one visit.
Is a dripping tap really worth fixing?
On the water it wastes, eventually. On what a slow drip does to a sink cabinet or the ceiling below it, much sooner than that.
Can you do the plumbing and the heating on the same visit?
That is the reason we do both. Most houses have one mechanical room, and the problems in it are rarely neatly one trade or the other.
My drain is slow. Should I try a store bought cleaner first?
We would not. They are hard on older pipe and they rarely clear the actual blockage, they mostly move it further along.
